Retreat events by the river at
‘The Great House’, Sonning
After a highly successful event in April, I am delighted to add this beautiful venue into my regular offerings.
The Great House in Sonning is located on the River Thames, right next to The Coppa Club. It is an absolutely stunning space, featuring fireplaces at both ends of the grand room, large glass windows that overlook the beautiful patio and grass area, and the river can be enjoyed at the gardens edge.
You are invited to 2 events on Sunday 6th July.
Morning Retreat:
9am - 12pm - Yoga, Gong Sound Bath, brunch.
£65
The morning starts with a gentle Hatha yoga class encouraging strength, flexibility and regulation of the nervous system. Enjoy a feeling of mental and physical peace and stillness to then flow into a soothing sound bath. You will be treated to sounds from 3 Paiste gongs, singing bowls, chimes and a rainstick. Then indulge in a delicious brunch of granola, yogurt, fruit, pastries, poached eggs and crushed avocado on toast, sitting outside if the weather permits!
The yoga class will be suitable for those new to yoga and seasoned practitioners.
Afternoon Retreat:
1pm - 4pm - Meditation, Gong Sound Bath, Journaling, tea and cakes.
£65
A Meditation and Relaxation session to ease the mind and body. Learn simple stretches, breath work and meditation techniques to regulate your nervous system and promote a feeling of peace and calmness. The Gong Sound Bath will include the same instruments as in the morning session. After the soothing sounds, I will run a guided journalling workshop using prompts and oracle cards. Enjoy a delicious selection of tea, coffee and cakes before you head home. A gift bag will be given to enjoy on departure.
You are welcome to book both retreats and attend for the whole day. There is an hour in between retreats - feel free to walk along the river, enjoy the garden lounging in deck chairs, or rest on the comfy sofas inside.
Parking will be reserved at the back of the venue.

What is a mandala?
Mandalas (meaning circle or disc in Sanskrit) are geometric designs that symbolise the universe and represent wholeness, unity, and harmony. Mandalas can be found in various cultures around the world. They can be drawn, painted, carved, and often created from natural materials, such as sand, seeds, or leaves. They can feature intricate patterns, shapes, and colors that radiate from a central point, creating a visually captivating and balanced composition.
Mandalas can be used for meditation (in the creation of it and also the finished form), they can be a form of creative expression, a journey, a reflection of our inner self or an exploration of emotions.
